A weekend of fun!

I'm a bit behind in posting once again. A few weeks ago, we went to the Children's Museum with my parents and brother on Saturday, and Sunday we went to the zoo with Isaac's Aunt Kat. We now have a membership to both places for the year, thanks to my parents and Brian's mom and step-dad. We will be spending a lot of time at both in the next year...both fun and educational! Isaac LOVED the water table at the Children's Museum...we could have stayed there for hours and he would have been perfectly content. He's still crawling in these pics, but in the past two days has pretty much stopped crawling altogether and prefers walking. He took his first steps toward the beginning of January, spent a long time taking just a couple steps, then spent a long time taking 8-10 steps at a time before falling and is now fully, confidently walking. He can even walk with his sleep sack on...it is pretty cute. It's been very fun watching him get better every day, and watching his confidence grow...there are a few important life lessons to be learned (or reminded of) in watching a child grow, learn and develop, that is for sure! He's also quite the talker...mostly babbling, of course. He does have a few words though...some he's been saying for quite some time, and others just recently. Words he has said so far include various forms of mommy and daddy (mom, momma, mom-mom, dad, dada), up, push, more, go, spoon, bowl, me, no, uh-oh, ball, blue, yeah, monkey (this doesn't come out quite so clear...more like "eeeee"...but he definitely means his monkey when he says it) and answers in a very quiet "woof" when asked what a puppy says. His favorite word, which we have absolutely no clue what it is, or means is bitabitabitabitabita. He says it all the time lately. Perhaps one day he will share with us what it means. :-)
